We are working on behalf of a well-established wealth management business seeking a Corporate Actions Subject Matter Expert to join its Corporate Events function.

This is a specialist role for someone with deep hands-on corporate actions knowledge who can act as the technical lead on complex, high-risk and non-standard events. You will be a key point of escalation for the wider team, while also remaining close to the processing and control of live events.

The role supports a UK and Channel Islands business, so it will suit someone who is comfortable operating across different jurisdictions and able to apply sound judgement in a regulated environment.

The opportunity

This role will suit an experienced corporate actions professional who enjoys solving technical problems, improving team capability, and bringing clarity to complex event handling.

You will work closely with Operations, Front Office, Compliance, Tax and external custodians to make sure events are processed accurately, consistently and in line with internal and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead on complex and non-standard corporate action events
• Handle matters such as tender offers, schemes of arrangement, mergers, demergers, re-domiciliations and restructurings
• Interpret circulars, issuer documentation and offer terms to determine eligibility, restrictions, deadlines, settlement treatment and correct processing requirements
• Support and mentor operational staff through coaching, technical walkthroughs and real-time guidance
